This is a braided essay/poem that will be paired with a Victorian-style hair art piece made of my own hair. During the Victorian era, it was fashionable to display floral artworks made from hair. But the fashion wasn’t limited to the walls and tables. Bracelets, brooches, and other wearables were crafted in ingenious ways from human hair. Sometimes it was to commemorate a deceased loved one. Sometimes it was a piece created for a sweetheart.
